Creative Writing: Choose any of the following titles to create a short story of realistic fiction, a non-fiction article, or a poem: Through the Tunnel, Caged Bird, The Peace of Wild Things, The Future in My Arms, His Name Was Pete, Getting the Word Out, To Be of Use, A Few Words, Life if Calling, or The Open Window. Students will brainstorm in small groups, share with the class, and then work independently. Students will be given class time on Wednesday to write or type their drafts.
Homework: Typed draft of creative writing due by Friday, 3/6.

2. Grammar Practice on using Who vs. Whom; PowerPoint tutorial followed by quick assessment.
3. Computer Lab - Students will move to Room 226 for the remainder of the block to work on their Creative Writing assignment. Given ten titles, students will create poems, articles, or realistic fiction to accompany the one title they choose.
4. NoRedInk - Students will be permitted to work on NoRedInk assignments in the computer lab if they need to catch up on late work.
Homework: Final draft of Creative Writing due at the beginning of the class on Friday, 3/6. NoRedInk Extra credit on Who vs. Whom is due Friday as well.
